What will be your daily pursuit?
Your daily pursuit is leading our amazing maintenance team in the upkeep and care of Grouse Mountain Lodge and all its facilities.
What will you do in this job?
Provide general and preventative maintenance for all Grouse facilities, equipment, property, and materials
Inspect guest rooms and public areas for maintenance problems and correct these problems as schedule allows
Support maintenance manager in developing, maintaining, and supervising the GML maintenance team to be responsive to management and guest needs
Maintain inventory of materials, parts, and equipment & tools to provide responsive maintenance services in a timely manner
Ensure that facilities, equipment, and personnel at GML are operating in conformity with all local, State, and Federal regulations and codes involving guest and employee safety, building construction, and life and vehicle safety
Coordinate with Maintenance Manager, Engineering Administration, and GML General Management to plan/schedule/deliver work orders in a timely manner
Train maintenance team of work order system and the appropriate input for administrative requirements
Be a utility player who can complete a variety of job duties
What skills and experience do you need for this job?
Must possess valid driver’s license
Requires experience with construction trades and maintenance of commercial properties
Carpentry, basic electrical wiring, basic plumbing, and commercial kitchen equipment repair skills are required
Some knowledge of State, Federal and Historical construction codes and safety regulations
Strong organizational and supervisory skills
Good human relations skills in dealing with guests and operating management
Must possess good oral and written communication skills and blueprint reading skills
Requires at least 3 years’ experience in facilities maintenance of a large property complex
Must possess knowledge of construction safety regulations and general building codes
Must be courteous and friendly in dealing with customers and co-workers
Must have knowledge of and be able to use power tools
Be a good communicator, always suggesting ideas and solutions
Be helpful and friendly, willing to go the extra mile
Be relaxed, flexible and able to handle a few curveballs
