What will be your daily pursuit?

This is a full-time, benefit-eligible role, reporting to the FP&A Finance Manager and based in Pursuit’s office in the heart of Downtown Denver.  This role will focus on all aspects of financial planning and reporting across the Pursuit platform by becoming a super user of Solver, the company’s primary financial planning and reporting software. This role will help to ensure data integrity, process improvements, efficiency and accuracy across all major responsibilities. Legal ability to work in the U.S. is required. This role will work within a hybrid office environment with specified days of the week required for in-person team collaboration.

What will your compensation be?

The salary range for this role is $60,000/year to $70,000/year based on experience and skill set. This is a hybrid role, with three days in the office and two days with optional work-from-home. 

What will you do in this job?

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of Pursuit’s financial reporting capabilities including administering the Solver data warehouse, system security, reports maintenance, and delivery of reports to decision-makers.
  • Maintain and enhance the inventory of financial and statistical/operational/payroll analytics reports
  • Serve as Solver system subject matter expert and bring forward the full spectrum of system capabilities to the benefit of the broader organization.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning processes.
  • Perform ad hoc report building to support strategic projects and initiatives to leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Identify trends, provide recommendations based on findings, and communicate insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP standards.
  • Lead the Pursuit global consolidation process including allocations, FX, tax, balance sheet, cash flow and financial system uploads.
  • Partner with the finance, accounting and operations teams to develop process improvements that will create efficiencies and improve accuracy across the organization.
  • Suggest process improvements that will inform leadership and ensure a forward-thinking approach to reporting and business partnership.
  • Educate team members across the organization to leverage the reports and tools available to them.
  • Maintain the capital database within Solver, collaborating closely with the Fixed Asset and Finance teams to ensure all projects adhere to compliance standards.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience related to finance or accounting with a minimum of 1 year’s experience.
  • Highly analytical and orientation to intellectual honesty; natural tendency to ask “why,” to challenge the status quo and to dig in to address unresolved questions.
  • Highly proficient excel user that can do everything from find answers quickly to building Board of Directors materials.
  • Experience in the use of finance and accounting systems and other Microsoft Office products; Solver / D365 experience preferred
  • Strong commitment to working as a team with an ability to foster strong working relationships, gain agreement on timelines and manage both external and internal stakeholder requirements.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work with a geographically dispersed team in a broad range of time zones.
  • Resourceful, adaptable, resilient, and have a strong sense of self-awareness.
