What will be your daily pursuit?

We’re seeking a skilled Payments & Fraud Operations Specialist to join our IT team. This role bridges payments, operations, treasury, and accounting to ensure a secure, efficient, and end-to-end ticketing experience, particularly in managing physical pin pad terminals and combating chargebacks and fraud.

The Payments & IT Fraud Operations Specialist is responsible for managing daily payment operations, ensuring secure and efficient processing of transactions, and detecting, preventing, and responding to fraudulent activity across digital platforms. This role bridges payments operations with IT and fraud monitoring, collaborating closely with finance, IT security, compliance, and customer service teams to safeguard company funds and customer trust.

What will your compensation be?

The salary range for this role is $80,000/year to $90,000/year. Pursuit offers a full suite of benefits, including discounts at our hotels, restaurants, and attractions, flexible time off, and a 401k contribution matching plan.

What will you do in this job?

  • Payments Ecosystem Management - Oversee and optimize the entire payments lifecycle—from authorization to settlement—across physical ticketing terminals and online platforms, including 3D Secure (3DS) integration.
  • Fraud Detection & Prevention - Monitor transactions for anomalies, implement fraud detection tools and strategies, coordinate fraud investigations, and reduce chargebacks through proactive measures (e.g., geolocation validation, tokenization, multi-factor authentication)
  • Physical Terminal Operations - Deploy, manage, troubleshoot, and maintain pin pad hardware across attractions. Ensure compliance with PCI DSS and other security protocols
  • Cross-functional Collaboration - Work closely with operations, treasury, and accounting teams to align payment operations with financial reconciliation, reporting, and risk mitigation.
  • Policy & Strategy Development - Develop, document, and enforce fraud detection policies and ticketing validation procedures. Track and refine KPIs, escalating trends and reporting on fraud and chargeback metrics
  • Training & Oversight - Provide guidance and training to attractions operations staff on ticket validation, fraud indicators, and incident response protocols.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

  • Minimum 3–5 years in payment operations, fraud prevention, or payments ecosystem roles. Familiarity with 3DS platforms, pin pad hardware, and payment networks is essential.
  • Direct experience with the Adyen payments platform or simialr, including configuration, reporting, and fraud prevention tools, is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of PCI DSS standards; certifications like CPISM are a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Certifications in fraud prevention (e.g., CFE – Certified Fraud Examiner, CAFP – Certified AML and Fraud Professional) a plus
